Ahoy Guest Boutique
The Ahoy Guest Boutique was one of the attractive guest houses that was constructed for the 2010 soccer world cup. The building is now much larger than what the client anticipated but the moment the design was presented and then created their own mental image of how the building would look like which made them over excited to get started. Although we met various challenges with the local authoriteis, we managed to complete the building in time for the soccer world cup. This Project was engaged with the client in May 2007. The client not only needed additional space but also wanted to improve the facade of the building. There was a need to improve the value of the building to enhance the neibhouring homes. The following images displayed below will provide a understanding in the client's request.
The project consisted of a Portal Frame structure measuring approximately 470sqm and contributes staff facilities and sufficient parking. The office space and staff facilities measures approximately 150sqm and the remaining space is reserved for working and storage. The reason for this project resulted in limited space at the client's old property which eventually became too clustard for storage of equipment. The equipment cosnisted of hydraulic hoists and many other devices that relate to vehicle requirements. The project was initiated in 2007 and completed without any delays.
Something out of the ordinary. Client requested a duplex or another term used main dwelling and second dwelling. Property is situated in Johannesburg. Both the buildings although closely situated, comprises of three spacious living areas such as the Lounge, Living area and the Dining area. The dining area and kicthen over look one another. The kitchen consists of a pantry and a scullery. The living area over looks onto a semi-open entertainment area which leads onto a pool area surrounded with timber decking. The upper rooms consist of 2 bedrooms which both have a en-suite and a dressing area with a balcony overlooking the back yard with well planned out lanscaping. Each duplex unit contains a double garage.
This project was constructed in February 2005. The client needed a home that was not only comfortable but also to accompany family and friends when an occasion arises. Although the guidelines produced various "House" rules to comply with building hights to please adjacent neighbours and not obstructing their see view, the land gradient allow us to provide an elegant style and design that would compliment the surrounding properties.
